Chained Beasts launched on 15 October 2026
Featherweight Games set Chained Beasts for on Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Game Pass for Xbox and Windows PC. The captured Steam page confirms the date and shows a China-region price in yuan. It does not print a US dollar price.
Clock time and store date
Steam’s release-date line on the captured page reads “15 Oct, 2026.” The studio press release, dated 15 September 2026 and datelined Sydney, adds the hour: 10:00am PDT, which it also writes as 5:00pm UTC. The studio game page shows the same calendar date above logos for Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass.
The press release’s platform sentence is “Steam, Game Pass for XBOX and Windows PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.” A later line in the same release says “Steam, Windows PC and XBOX Game Pass, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch.” The logo set on the game page separates Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. This guide uses those names and leaves console prices untouched, because no source here prints a PlayStation, Switch, or Game Pass fee.
Three chapters on launch day
The press release says the launch build contains three arena chapters: Carthage, then the frozen wastes of Germania, then the heart of the Roman Empire. It calls Rome the final chapter. Co-director Dylan Bevis’s quoted remark names Praefectus as Rome’s boss and mentions a Praetorian Guard. Boss screenshots and that quote are on the bosses page.
The same release says the Carthage demo chapter, then available on Steam, would be taken offline at launch, and it thanks players from a recent open beta weekend. The quote also looks back at two years of development as of September 2026. These pages stop at that announcement. A post-launch check of the demo’s store status is outside the source pack.
The Steam price in this capture
The captured store page is a China-region view. Its title reads “Save 35% on Chained Beasts on Steam.” The base-game purchase block shows ¥79.00 reduced to ¥51.35, and the accessible label says 35% off. That is a regional launch discount on the day the page was saved. It is a yuan figure for that storefront.
Check Chained Beasts on Steam for the current price in your currency. This guide does not convert ¥51.35 into dollars, and it does not invent a console price to fill the gap.
Steam review snapshot
The same captured page summarizes All Reviews as Very Positive and states that 95% of the 90 user reviews for the game are positive. That is Steam’s aggregate on the saved page. Counts move after a guide is compiled. A GamesStarter review elsewhere recommends the game for co-op groups and urges caution for solo players, and it publishes that view in words, with no numeric score.
PC platforms on the Steam row
Steam’s platform row in the capture offers Windows and macOS. Linux is absent. Minimum specs for the two listed PC systems are on the system requirements page. Steam also lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer. The press release lists the other storefronts and leaves a shared Steam-and-console match unstated.
What these sources leave open
- A US dollar price, or any other currency besides the China-region yuan snapshot.
- PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Game Pass prices.
- Whether the Carthage demo is still listed after launch day.
- Whether the console editions share matches with the Steam edition.
